About Me

Hi! My name is Lance and this is my online resume.

I'm a 26 year old security minded web developer in Atlanta. I recently finished a Masters from Boston University in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in security. I attended Southern Wesleyan University for my undergrad and received a B.S. in Applied Computer Science with a concentration in software development and networking.

I currently work as a Research Scientist by day and a code ninja/monkey (depending on which side of the fence you are on) by night. I was born and raised in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina. I currently live in downtown Atlanta. I have surrounded myself over the years with as much technology as possible over the years.

My passions lie in the areas of information security, web development, open source software, arduinos, creating things and most importantly learning.

For life updates and what I'm currently working on and releasing then check out my blog.

Technical Skills

Expert, 3 years

I love front-end web development. I'm an expert in Javascript development. I can roll out some old-school Javascript or I can blow your mind with some insane dashboards using jQuery ninja skills. In my spare time I usually work on new ways to present data using Javascript. jQuery plugin development is just another thing in my day. HTML5 technologies such as drawing on canvases and WebGL are all tools in my toolkit to produce amazing user experiences.

Expert, 5 years

I have a strong background in server-side web development. I've used many different languages in the past but my strongest are C# and PHP. I have been developing web applications in both of these languages for years. This includes traditional development styles as well as MVC patterns.

Expert, 4 years

Relational Databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, GreenPlum)

Designing, implementing and querying databases is just another thing in my daily work load. Most of the security applications/tools that I develop need somewhere that they need to store data. Designing queries to pull the data out of these databases to be presented in useful dashboards is also a nack that I enjoy.

Advanced, 2 year

I have been developing small applications in Python over the last year or so. Many of them are heavily security related projects. Ranging from a SNMP spider for cisco devices to network forensics applications.
